A respected Queensland grazier who rode out the drought has died in an accident at Thargomindah. 7NEWS
Father-of-three Scott Todd suffered fatal injuries when he fell from the tray of a moving ute in Thargomindah in southwestern Queensland on Saturday morning.
The 38-year-old Bollon man died at the scene, while the driver, a 27-year-old local man, was uninjured.In social media posts, Todd has been remembered as “fierce and wild” but deeply caring. He was also known for his advocacy for farmers, repeatedly calling for more support for those stricken by the drought.“We’ve got no money left,” Scott was quoted by AAP in 2019 in an article telling of his drought battle.
“We break it down and say this is what we’re doing until this day, and then we’ll reassess it.
