Two monkeys involved in the alleged "revenge killing" of hundreds of dogs and puppies have been caught in India.

Villagers in Lavool village, in the Beed district jn Maharastra state, witnessed the langur monkeys carrying off the dogs and throwing them from heights in what seemed to be targeted attacks. Witnesses claim the dogs had killed an infant monkey, which lead to what they branded as revenge killings.File photo: Locals claim the monkeys turned on local dogs after they killed one of their young.The forest department has since confirmed they had captured two of the monkeys and released them into a nearby forest.
