Western Australia will be the last state to reopen, when it swings its borders open on February 5 - but one thing could throw that into jeopardy.

Premier Mark McGowan announced the state’s roadmap to reopening earlier this month, setting February 5 as the day WA would finally get rid of its hard border.

But even with Western Australia pushing towards a February 5 reopening, Mr McGowan admitted there was one caveat in the state’s reopening. They did it to us, but we did what had to be done in late June and we got rid of the virus here, which of course no one over there acknowledges or remembers.”Mr McGowan last week announced the state had achieved its target for 80 per cent of adults aged over 12 years old to be fully vaccinated with two doses and set a date for the border reopening.
