Sky News Contributor Bruce Wolpe says “a real drama is unfolding” in Washington as the House Committee on Rules meets “to set the parameters of debate” on the Articles of Impeachment.

A final vote on whether US President Donald Trump will be impeached is due to take place on Thursday, according to Mr Wolpe. Mr Wolpe told Sky News the Republicans asked for “eight hours of debate” which would be “evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats”.

The Sky News contributor said “Republican members will raise all sorts of issues and make the president’s case” to try and “advance his cause”. “The country is almost at war with itself on this issue, so it is hand-to-hand fighting among partisans,” he said. Image: Getty
