BREAKING: Authorities have confirmed new coronavirus cases in NSW are linked to Melbourne as concerns grow about the outbreak - Victoria has recorded a total of 3967 cases.
One case was linked to hotel quarantine ,Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews announced on Monday morning.A total of 72 Victorians have been hospitalised, with 17 in intensive care.
At least 26 cases were linked to Menarock aged care in Essendon. Mr Sutton said both residents and staff had been infected and the site was being “intensively managed”. The Al-Taqwa outbreak is nearing 150 cases, with the DHHS confirming 144 can be linked to the Truganina college. The extension will give teachers more time to plan as more than 700,000 students in years prep to 10 at government schools in metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire return to remote learning.Prime Minister Scott Morrison also rolled out more ADF support to Victoria over the weekend, deploying up to 1000 military personnel to assist with the state’s COVID-19 operation.
