Four residents of Newmarch House, where an earlier outbreak claimed the lives of 19 elderly residents, were tested but returned negative results.
One passenger on the XPT train into Sydney on Saturday was tested and also returned a negative result. The passenger had not travelled from Melbourne, but had boarded in regional NSW and self presented to health authorities with flu-like symptoms upon disembarking at Central Station. New South Wales continues to screen passengers arriving by plane and train from Victoria, with anyone found to have travelled from hotspot postcodes facing fines of up to $11,000 and six months in jail.
There are currently 69 people receiving treatment for COVID-19 by NSW Health, including one person in intensive care.
