A major bushfire sweeping Western Australia's Margaret River region is believed to have been deliberately lit, police say.
Detectives from Strike Force Vulcan, WA’s bushfire and arson unit are now asking anyone with information to come forward.
Emergency services issued an evacuation warning for people in the national park but light rain on Saturday evening allowed for the warning to be downgraded, with a"watch and act" alert now in place. Despite favourable weather, Incident Controller Brad Barton said some infrastructure had been impacted.“There will be some very high impacted areas obviously as it was a very intensive fire."
