WA is set to go from hot to hotter across the coming days and the hot air mass is likely to set a new weather record in Perth.
A hot air mass is building across the state, prompting warnings from authorities ahead of the weekend"We will see similar temperatures, 45/46 degrees for parts of the Pilbara and the Gascoyne over the coming days," Jessica Lingard from the Bureau of Meteorology said.WA heatwave weekend weather warning
The state's capital city is forecast to reach temps of 40-41 on Sunday and Monday, which will set a new weather record in Perth. "People in Australia accept that hot weather is part of life, so perhaps when we see those warmer temperatures, they don't take it as seriously," Matt Didcoe from St John Ambulance said."It only takes a matter of minutes for a car to heat up, and it can get significantly hotter inside than it is outside," Didcoe said.
