NSW Customer Service Minister Victor Dominello wants to create a system of real-time feedback between citizens and government to take the pulse of the public.

in Canberra on Tuesday the feedback would be a simple “happy” or “sad”. The system would become a measurement of the “vital signs” of government.and they see it go up or down... We should have the same,” he said.“We could do the feedback by cluster ... and see we have good education, health, treasury and stuff like that ... but also by the line.

Mr Dominello said such a system would empower the individual and provide the government with constant feedback. “The first credential to go in the education wallet in the months ahead will be the first aid certificate. By the end of the year we are aiming to have pilots for people to add their HSC [Higher School Certificate] on to their wallet. Important to note here, this is all opt-in,” he said.

“You can then share your skill credentials – macro and micro – to employers and recruitment agencies to ascertain what additional opportunities exist.”New digital projects, Mr Dominello said, were best run as pilots rather than multi-year, costly investments. This, he said, de-risked the initial investment and enabled government to move faster.
