Premier Dominic Perrottet says he has made up with a Eugowra resident who last week blasted the government's response to the flooding disaster in central western NSW.

Former police officer and Eugowra local Peter Jones confronted Mr Perrottet and Deputy Premier Paul Toole last Friday over the level of support for the area as the pair met with residents and toured the flood-ravaged town.

And he also raised with me that the clean-up is going incredibly well also. Mr Jones had said on Friday the response to the flooding in central western NSW had been too slow with a lack of police on the ground.

Mr Jones also demanded the Premier meet with him next year if he returns the Coalition to government at the state election. for disaster recovery offering small businesses and not-for-profit organisations in the region grants of up to $50,000.
