An elderly woman has been charged with dangerous driving after a fatal crash in the New South Wales Mid North Coast less than two weeks ago.
Emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Eungai Rail, south of Macksville, about 10.20am on Friday May 26 after reports of a smash.The rear passenger, a 70-year-old man, died at the scene despite efforts from attending paramedics to revive the passenger.

Picture: NCA Newswire / Gaye Gerard The driver and front seat passenger, both 70-year-old women, were treated on the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.Police officers began investigations into the incident which led them to charge the 70-year-old female driver of the vehicle.
She was arrested at Castle Hill Police Station and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive manner dangerous, negligent drive cause death cause bodily harm by misconduct, in charge of motor vehicle.The woman was granted conditional bail and will appear at Parramatta Local Court on July 19.
