woman has been charged after allegedly assaulting police, trying to bite them and strangling a dog when she was asked to wear a mask in a supermarket.
He said one person was given an on-the-spot fine for not wearing a mask in Howard, near Hervey Bay, and another was arrested in the South Burnett region, about 100km west of the Sunshine Coast.Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said plans were in place to relocate more officers to the Gold Coast, should the need arise.
The woman, from the South Burnett, has been charged with animal cruelty, serious assault on police officers, and disobeying public health directions.
