A serious crash south of Adelaide sent a police car rolling and left a woman fighting for life in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The woman’s car smashed into the marked SA Police car, which was travelling east on Seaview Rd in Victor Harbor, just after 1.30am. The police driver and passenger sustained minor injuries in the crash and were taken to South Coast Hospital for treatment.
Both officers have since been discharged, SA Police said. But the woman behind the wheel of the Ford sedan sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Flinders Medical Centre. Her male passenger was not injured. Investigations at the scene of the crash have begun, and several nearby roads have been closed off. “Seaview Rd is currently closed between Hindmarsh Rd and William St. Acraman St and Carlyle St are also closed,” SA Police said. “Please avoid the area.
