Daniel Andrews has taken aim at the lack of action at the federal level in setting up a commission into family violence - pointing out the existing $81 million body he initiated, which has already made over 200 recommendations aimed at tackling the issue.

Speaking with Seven on Tuesday night, the former Premier said the debate surrounding calls for another royal commission had so far proven unproductive. “The Victorian Royal Commission, the 227 recommendations that are changing lives and saving lives – they’re there to be adopted as a national plan.”
