Police in South Australia are investigating an unexplained death at a home in Mount Gambier. Officers responded to reports of a person who had collapsed and found a woman deceased. Detectives and forensic officers are working to determine the cause of death.

Police are investigating an "unexplained death" at a home in Mount Gambier in South Australia 's south east.

According to SAPOL, officers were called to a property on Pick Avenue at about 1pm on Wednesday after reports a person had "collapsed".Police said after an assessment by the Metropolitan Fire Service, they entered the property and found a woman dead.Detectives from the Major Crime Investigation Branch and Forensic Response officers attended the scene overnight and will return to the location again today as they work to the determine the cause of death.
