Health authorities believe transmission of the Omicron variant of concern is accounting for NSW's increase in COVID-19 cases as daily infections surged to 804 on Tuesday.
Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant confirmed there are now 85 Omicron infections in NSW as the state recorded 804 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday.
