A small town in south-west New South Wales hopes a music video featuring jazz hands and a toe-tapping tune will help to bring more doctors to the community.

"They looked at me and I could see they were thinking 'This guy's in a wheelchair, can he do it?' So I did a few moves and they were happy with me.

"We had two nights of rehearsals and I wasn't quite crashing into people and they got around me, so it was fine. And to anyone considering a tree change to Temora, Mr Jordan does not believe there is any place quite like it."And it's lovely living in the country. It's not stressful, it's peaceful with good weather."

The music video was released last night, right in the middle of the New South Wales election campaign and ahead of this year's federal election."The focus of this campaign is not just about our desire to see more doctors in Temora but to elevate the importance of rural and regional health generally," she said.

"It's incredibly important that the people who live in rural and regional areas have access to quality care close to home. "So, if we can use the elections to raise the profile of rural and regional health in general I think that's a good thing."
