Five teenagers — including one aged 13 — have been arrested over a string of alleged burglaries and a carjacking in Melbourne’s east. The teenagers were detained when police used a tyre-deflation device to stop a car, and are now being questioned.

Melbourne teen crime rampage. Police initially spotted an allegedly stolen white Range Rover Discovery driving erratically on Capital Ave in Glen Waverley about 11pm on Monday. The car had allegedly been involved in multiple burglaries from about 9.30pm the day before — two in Croydon where cigarettes were stolen and an attempted burglary at a service station in Bayswater North.
