WARNING, DISTRESSING CONTENT: Ovie Peddy is serving a life sentence for murder, after killing a man who he said looked like his father - and then eating part of his brain
A former inmate of Broadmoor watched on as Yorkshire Ripper Peter Sutcliffe was brutally attacked behind bars – then just carried on eating his dinner.
Serial killer Sutcliffe had been subjected to attacks from fellow inmates on multiple occasions while behind bars. While at Parkhurst, he was assaulted by James Costello, resulting in facial injuries that needed around 30 stitches. Ovie told podcaster James English how he had a close-up view of the attack on Sutcliffe. He added: "It was like a scene out of a Silence of the Lambs. I was talking to the guy who done it, just before. It was a big dinner night: it was steak or cauliflower steaks there's chips and peppercorns.", reports the Mirror.
"So he looked at me and goes 'No that's what I did I cut someone and I ate their liver' so I said 'Bro, if you want to talk like that, leave me alone because I'm having my food. Later on we'll talk about all your mad killings and all that'."
