The south-west has already recorded an 11 per cent annual increase in rent with the average asking rent pushing $500."Families have already made changes to tighten the belt," Kate Colvin, from Everybody's Home, said. "And of course, many people are not being able to keep up with their rent, more people pushed to the brink."Western Sydney is another hotspot for expected hikes, with a 1.27 per cent vacancy rate and 16.2 per cent annual rent increase, while Canterbury-Bankstown has a 1.33 per cent vacancy rate and 14.4 per cent annual rent increase.
