A man in his 30s is fighting for his life after a fall from his e-bike in Wollongong. Police are appealing for public assistance to identify the man who is yet to be formally named.
A man in his 30s is in critical condition after he fell from an e-bike at Lake Heights in Wollongong ’s south about 2.30pm on Sunday. He is fighting for life in hospital, but NSW Police have been unable to identify the man, and are calling on the public for assistance. He was riding on Weringa Ave when he fell from the bike. The rider was treated at the scene by paramedics and then airlifted to hospital, where he remains.
He has been described as being of Pacific Islander or Maori appearance, unshaven, and with short, neat hair. He is also believed to be between the age of 25 to 35 years old, about 175cm tall, and of large build, police said. ‘At the time of the crash, the rider was wearing a black Nike jacket and red T-shirt,’ NSW Police said. ‘The man is yet to be formally identified.’ Police released an image of the man’s black and blue bike, in hope it will be recognised by someone known to the man. Investigations are ongoing and anyone with information about the incident, or who can help identify the man, has been asked to contact Crime Stoppers
