"If my parents go to prison, I don't think I'll be able to cope," she wrote to the judge in July last year. The court heard the parents had lied on her enrolment forms, telling two separate ballet schools she was two years younger than she actually was, but even so, the teachers thought she was disturbingly underweight for her presumed age.Her parents claimed variously that their daughter had been born premature, which wasn't true, that she was on a vegan diet and that she was naturally small for her age.
