A new poll has revealed the Victorian Liberals are gaining ground, in a result that is expected to ease tensions over John Pesutto’s leadership.

A new poll has shown support for the Victorian Coalition is at its highest point in almost three years, a result that is expected to ease tensions over John Pesutto's leadership.

The result means the Allan government still has a comfortable 54 to 46 per cent two-party-preferred lead over the opposition, just below the 55 to 45 result at the 2022 state election. “Voters who have historically supported minor parties on the right side of politics are becoming increasingly strategic, opting to throw their support behind the Coalition,” Mr Samaras told the Herald Sun.
