Her Majesty the Queen will miss Epsom Derby Day for just the second time in her 70 year reign with the withdrawal coming a day after she pulled out of another Platinum Jubilee event.
Her Majesty will no longer attend the Epsom Derby Day on Saturday and will watch the showpiece racing day on television from Windsor Castle, Buckingham Palace confirmed.

London regional director for The Jockey Club, Phil White said while it was a “rare occasion” the Queen could not attend the races they were “delighted” she would be watching on television.
