Another 1158 cases were confirmed on Tuesday, which is an increase of around 400 cases on a day earlier.There are still no people in the ICU with COVID-19 in Queensland and only six are in hospital due to the virus.
“Although we are seeing increase in cases as we expected, we are not seeing the impacts on our hospital system,” she said on Monday.Chief Health Officer John Gerrard said the low case load in hospital “suggests the vaccine is working”. Holidaymakers hoping to enter the Sunshine State must have a negative PCR COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival.
