Some parents are less than impressed by new plans for East Brisbane State School, which is being forced out of its heritage-listed buildings by the Gabba rebuild.

While Education Minister Grace Grace previously promised “world-class facilities at a new, bigger site”, Gibbs questioned how much space students would have at Coorparoo. “The master plan has been developed in consultation with the school communities and has been positively received by those involved,” the spokesman said.
Gibbs said many parents did not use cars to take their children to school and the lack of active travel options was disappointing.
