Police have resumed their search for a 14-year-old boy who has now been missing for more than 24 hours after failing to return from his regular walk.

William Wall left his home at Launching Place at about 6:45am yesterday for his regular walk on the Warburton Trail.Police are worried about William Wall, who has autism.Police are worried about William, who has high-functioning autism, and have said his disappearance was "out of character". The search resumed again this morning, with State Emergency Service volunteers assisting police with the search.
Local resident Gabriella Jago, one of several volunteers joining the search efforts this morning, said she felt compelled to help."I thought, if that was my kid out there, I would want everyone with their boots on the ground having a look and trying to help.Gabriella Jago says she wanted to help with the search.
The focus of the search in Warburton will be on the O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail, where police believe there was a credible sighting of an upset male that matched William's description.A gate leading to the Warburton Aqueduct Trail, where William Wall regularly walks.He was last seen wearing a dark hooded jumper and track pants, black running shoes, and had a hydration pack across his chest.
