The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a warning that tropical low 02U could potentially develop into tropical cyclones late Sunday and into early next week, posing a moderate risk to the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts of Western Australia.

The destructive weather systems could be headed close to the Pilbara and Kimberley coasts in Western Australia, the Bureau of Meteorology has warned.

The track of the cyclones will most likely follow along the south-west of Australia, which would see them form over the ocean north of the Pilbara coast. There is a 10 to 30 per cent chance of the cyclone passing within 300km of mainland Australia next week,
