Victoria has recorded three new Omicron coronavirus cases with genomic sequencing underway to determine whether nine probable infections are also the variant.
Health officials say Victorians can play their part in reducing the spread of Omicron, or any other variant, by getting tested, practicing COVIDSafe behaviours such as wearing masks, physical distancing and checking in.
Premier Daniel Andrews flagged last month his state would follow suit with New South Wales in scrapping face coverings in retail stores on December 15.
